Campbell was last seen at his residence on US Highway 10, 8 miles north of St. Cloud, Minnesota on October 27, 1972.

Text take from Reward poster at the time of his disappearnce:

"Theron Campbell disappeared from his rural residence on U.S. Highway 10, eight miles north of St. Cloud, Minnesota on the night of October 27, 1972. Extensive investigation to locate him has been unsuccessful. No logical reason whatever is known for his disappearance and foul play is a possibility.

The guardian of the estate of Theron Campbell will pay a reward of the sum of $1,000 to the person or persons furnishing information resulting in the locating of the person or the body of Theron Campbell. Only one reward is offered and will be paid to the first person from whom the desired and authentic information is received.

It is preferred that responses to this offer be in writing and should be directed to Len Trushenskin, Sheriff, Foley, Minn. 56329. This offere expires December 31, 1973"
